Will Wurm

President & CEO

William Wurm navigates the course for Point Windward Advisors, building enduring client relationships and overseeing investment strategy and portfolio management. He is actively involved in guiding the firm’s approach to managing wealth that reflects both disciplined analysis and a strong commitment to client care.  

Before joining Point Windward Advisors (previously known as Beech Hill), Will spent time at Merrill Lynch and Ferguson Capital in various investment management roles, including research analyst and portfolio manager. Will also managed the Beech Hill Total Return Fund, deepening his experience in portfolio oversight and investment strategy while achieving consistent risk-adjusted returns. 

Will earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Williams College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®).  Will is the founder and a board member of the Jamie Boeckel Memorial Foundation, which supports efforts to promote safety at sea for young sailors. An avid sailor residing in Rowayton, Connecticut, in his free time he also enjoys kayaking, biking and skiing and treasures time with his two adult children.

Veronica Marton

Chief Client Officer, Chief Compliance Officer

Veronica Marton helps navigate the course for clients at Point Windward Advisors, ensuring their experience is seamless, coordinated, and built on trust. She works closely with clients to support their ongoing relationships with the firm while also overseeing regulatory compliance, staff management, and day-to-day operations.

Veronica began her career in client service as a sales assistant and later as an operations manager, gaining valuable perspective on both the client-facing and operational sides of financial services.

She earned her degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and holds FINRA Series 7 and 24 registrations.

Veronica lives in Manhattan with her husband, two daughters, and their beloved Frenchie. She is active in her community, serving on her PTA’s grants committee, volunteering in local outreach programs, and enjoying book clubs. Outside of her professional and community roles, Veronica is an aspiring gardener who finds joy in learning and cultivating new skills.

Anthony Vivona

Director of Research & Financial Advisor

Anthony Vivona leads equity research and investment selection for the firm, oversees ETF strategies, and contributes to the financial planning process to help ensure that investment decisions are closely aligned with client goals.

Anthony earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Finance from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. He is also a CFA® charterholder.

Outside of work, Anthony enjoys golfing, traveling, and exploring the diverse culinary landscape of New York City. He lives in Manhattan with his wife, Celina, and their beloved Shih Tzu, Rollie.
 

Abby Marton

Director of Client Experience & Marketing

Abby Marton focuses on creating a seamless experience for Point Windward Advisors clients. She supports financial planning, oversees client service, and manages firm operations, ensuring that families feel cared for at every step of their journey. Abby also leads the firm’s marketing efforts, helping communicate Point Windward Advisors' values and approach with clarity.

Before joining Point Windward Advisors, Abby held roles in both finance and marketing within advisory and broker-dealer settings, giving her a strong foundation in serving clients and supporting firm growth.

Abby earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and her MBA from Quinnipiac University.

Outside of work, Abby enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and camping, as well as practicing yoga and pilates. She is also an avid theatergoer and makes her home in New York City.
 

Michael Stern

Senior Financial Advisor

Michael Stern works with clients as a portfolio manager, focusing on long-term investment strategies designed to align with their goals and priorities. He has been part of the investment management industry since 1995, with a particular concentration in long-term value investing.

Before joining Point Windward Advisors, Michael served as a Portfolio Manager at Ramius Capital from 1999 to 2010, where he gained extensive experience in managing portfolios and navigating a wide range of market conditions.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management, where he majored in Finance and Marketing.

Michael is active in his community as a member of his HOA board and a volunteer for local charities, including a facility that supports those with Alzheimer’s, and fundraising for causes that are meaningful to him. He also enjoys golf and traveling. Michael and his wife live locally and are proud parents of two grown sons.

Brad Small

Financial Advisor, Insurance and Retirement Planning

Brad Small works with clients to address insurance and retirement planning needs for individuals, families, and small businesses. His focus includes life, disability, and long-term care insurance, as well as strategies related to estate planning and life settlements.

Brad has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial industry, bringing a broad perspective to helping clients consider how protection and retirement solutions fit into their overall financial picture.

He earned his B.A. in Government from Skidmore College.

Brad divides his time between Point Windward Advisors' offices in New York City and Palm Beach, Florida. Outside of work, he is a musician and songwriter who enjoys creative pursuits alongside his professional responsibilities.
 

Evan Slater

Financial Advisor & Fixed Income Portfolio Manager

Evan Slater works with clients and relationship managers to design and implement fixed income strategies that reflect each client’s goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon. He monitors market and economic conditions, manages portfolio risks, and makes adjustments as needed to keep client accounts aligned with guidelines and evolving needs. Evan also collaborates with trading desks and underwriters to ensure buy and sell decisions are executed efficiently and cost-effectively.

Evan has built his career in fixed income portfolio management and trading since 1992. Before joining Point Windward Advisors (formerly Beech Hill Advisors), he held senior roles as a bond trader at Investment Professionals Inc. and Stockcross Financial Services, where he was responsible for trading, institutional sales, and research. He began his career at The GMS Group, where he cultivated a strong foundation in municipal and fixed income markets.

He earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is a founding member of the Colorado Municipal Bond Club.

Outside the office, Evan enjoys staying active outdoors, especially skiing, hiking, sailing, fishing, and running. Most of all, he values time with his family.
 

Richard Owen

Financial Advisor

Richard Owen works with clients on holistic wealth management, retirement and financial planning, and portfolio management. He focuses on helping families organize their financial lives with strategies that consider both immediate needs and long-term goals.

Richard’s career includes roles as a Financial Advisor and Wealth Manager at Citigroup, Smith Barney, and Morgan Stanley, as well as experience as a nonprofit and arts consultant and administrator. This blend of financial and organizational leadership has shaped his thoughtful, well-rounded approach to client relationships.

He studied Philosophy and Government as a double major at Dartmouth College.

Outside of work, Richard is active as a professional orchestral conductor, organist, and pianist. He also enjoys skiing, sailing, swimming, and tennis. Richard values time with his wife and three children and finds purpose in his faith through both his personal and professional life.
